Winter climbing and ice climbing courses across Scotland, Ben nevis, Glencoe and the Skye Cuillin ridge
So.. if you are looking for lots of ice clmbing and not much walking read on..Based in Rjukan and Aurland in good self catering lodges these are week long ice climbing courses for those with winter climbing experience.
We will focus on your ice climbing technique, placing protection and creating sound belays while ice climbing. There will be the chance to do some leading if desired. Climbing steep ice in the III to VI grades there is plenty of scope for differing abilities.
Included in the cost is transport from either Oslo (for Rjukan) or Bergan (for Aurland) airports. Self catering accomodation in comfortable chalets. All in course transport. Guiding and coaching for 6 days ice climbing at a 1:2 ratio. We share cooking and food costs.
For further information and a chat about the details contact Richard.
A great place to maximise your climbing and time spent on ice.Easy approaches, lots of mid grade ice, ideal for starting on ice and intermediate icefall climbers.

Big adventurous routes, just heaps of unclimbed ice. This year we will base ourselves in Aurland rather than Laerdal. This will give us access to Laerdal and Aurland areas with dozens of vertical ice adventure days to be had. Hardly anyone else goes there except one or two people in the know! To get the most out of these weeks you should be able to climb Scottish grade IV comfortably.
Dates (Saturday - Friday course. 5 days climbing.)
10th - 16th Feb 2018
