Technical Advice
Mountain Motion can provide technical advice and support for all aspects of mountaineering safety. We currently provide this for several colleges and outdoor organisations to help them ensure best practice and to deliver training and assessment of staff. This advice can cover such areas as:
- Staff training and validations
- Advice on Adventure activities licensing (Soon to be superseded)
- Running of Outdoor centres and courses
- Cover for events and outdoor happenings
Film Safety Cover
Mountain Motion is developing a growing reputation as a company that is able to organise first class safety cover for mountaineering issues within the film industry, whether it be a full blown feature film or a small independent TV production. We have worked with BBC alba on Scottish hillwalking series through to our recent provision of Mountain safety cover and climbing double provision for the cinema release 'A lonely place to die' starring Mellisa George, Sean Harris, Ed Speleers, Kate Magowan and Alec Newman.
Our secret is that we can pool together a highly talented group of experts in mountaineering and rope access saftey, which means we can look after you, your crew and actors in the harsh outdoor environment as well as getting you the shots you want. This service can include:
- Rigging all safety ropework and working with the stunt team.
- Positioning of camera crews in awkward and hazardous areas.
- Safeguarding the general cast and crew on the Mountain
- One to one personal safety cover for actors
- Arranging remote medical cover
- Providing climbing doubles
- Help with training actors and stunt personnel
