Skye Cuillins

The most demanding and stunning mountains in the UK. We specialise in ridge traverses and guiding, climbing and scrambling on Skye. We run many cuillin traverses every year. Courses and traverses are on request and we are flexible and can accommodate one day traverses or whole week courses.

Our standard traverses meet the evening before and then its two long days, with a bivi on the ridge. No need to carry lots as we have a stash of cooking and camping gear on the ridge. The price includes flexibility with the weather and we pencil in a four day slot and take the best two days weather wise. If you want greater flexibility we can accommodate that also.

During the traverse we will climb the classics such as TD gap / Kings Chimney and Naismiths route, weather permitting. We believe that including these iconic routes are what makes the ridge what it is. If clients would prefer to bypass these sections that's fine as well.

We also do week long courses taking in classics such as Blaven - Clach Glas and Pinnacle Ridge.

And, for the really fit and adventurous we can do one day traverses!

A word of caution!

There are many 'guides' that operate on the Skye Cuillin ridge. Not all hold the appropriatte uk qualification for guiding on such terrain. Check that whoever you book with has insurance for scrambling and climbing and also has the appropriatte qualifications or experience. As the technical sections of the ridge require the use of ropes to safeguard a party, it is wise to ensure that if you use a guide or instructor, that they are qualified, experienced and insured! (The minimum appropriatte recognised UK based qualification for the technical sections of the cullins is the MIA award.) If you want advice drop us a line.
