Scrambling
Getting to the top by a challenging and interesting route. Moving fluidly and quickly and getting off the beaten path. Just some of the attractions of scrambling up Scottish mountains. Scrambling is that area between walking and climbing and is what you make it, depending on how adventurous you are. (We certainly are!)
With Glencoe and Ben Nevis on our doorstep, we have some of the best mountain scrambling routes in the country. Our aim is to give you some fantastic days out in the mountains and also to give you the skills to scramble safely and competently.
We will teach you anchor and belay selection, belaying and stance management, ropework and runner placement and moving confidently on steep ground.
We run three day courses and also a week on Ben Nevis staying in the CIC hut and a week in Torridon scrambling some of the classics, such as Cioch nose and Liatach. Dates and costs are below. As always we are available for private guiding if you want to do that classic route you have had your eye on, and learn technique along the way.
