Rock Climbing
One of the fastest growing sports in the UK! But it's much more than that; it's a way of life to some people! We offer a large range of courses as well as personal guiding and coaching. All our courses are available on a private / group, booking basis, or on scheduled dates. See the table below.
From beginners' courses to coaching the 'E' grades, Mountain Motion will be running climbing courses on set dates and on request, looking at fluid rope management, belay set up and placing protection as well as solving any problems that can happen. We will also coach you to move on the rock more positively and intelligently. After all, you climb with your head first and your hands and feet second!
From easy access single and multi-pitch crags to some of the best mountain routes in the UK, we have some of the best rock available here in north west Scotland.
All our climbing courses work on a 1:2 ratio so you get the most from the course.
You will of course get to climb some classic rock climbs into the bargain!

your grade

Let's look at your movement and approach to climbing. Sort out any niggles in your technique and move you up a grade or two. This will be a mix of seconding harder routes and leading routes at your limit! |

Rock

From mountain routes on the Cullins to fantastic sea cliff climbing. Skye is a wonderful place to climb. Mainly guiding in the VS - E1 range with the opportunity to lead. |

Stacks Tour

We
will attempt the three classic sea stacks in Scotland. The old man of
Stoer / Am Buachaille and the Old man of Hoy.
Cost is for instruction and transport. The course will be flexible and accommodation costs will be extra as we travel round. |
