New Website
At last, after a wee journey, involving a fairly steep learning curve!, the new website is finally here. I hope you like it. It is certainly an improvement on the old one which was looking a bit dated to say the least! I would welcome any comments that you have about this new website. In particular, how user freindly it is and if anything does not work well on your system or browser.

17th April 2012 In the Alps
Currently in the Alps until 3rd May. If you need to get in touch with me drop me and e-mail or text. Not going so well at the moment. The van has brokendown. C'est la vie.
Mountaineering Council of Scotland, winter lecture series
I will be delivering a lecture at the Clachaig Inn on the 21st Feb. The main theme will be how to be safe, quick and efficient and get the most out of your winter days, be it climbing or mountaineering. Entry is free.
More details can be found here MCofS Winter Lectures
Music Gigs
As well as stomping round the mountains of the West Coast I also play a fair few acoustic gigs in the local pubs. Armed with a trusty Martin guitar and a nice sounding acoustic sound system I play mainly contemporay covers from artists such as Paulo Nutini, Kings of Leon, REM, Stereophonics, Bruce Springsteen etc..
Next gig is in the Clachaig on the 29th Feb. I may be playing the Pinemartin Cafe at Aonach Mor on Sat 11th for an hour or so at 5pm as well.
Come along, if you don't like the music you can always quiz me on winter climbing and conditions!!
