Mountain Motion winter conditions and blog

A quiet day and lots of routes at Krokan.

Jan 12, 2015

Bob and I went to Krokan for his first day back on ice today. Miracle, of miracles!, it was quiet with just us there for the first hour or so. Plenty of ice to go at. We climbed Bullen by a couple of lines, Gaustasplokelse, Tipp, Unknown, Jomfrau, and Kjokkentrappa.. phew...
Ran out of light but Frystikka looked in great shape and a fairly steady lead at the moment as it is quite steppy by the left hand side.
We focused on getting technique sorted, with lots of mileage. A couple of multi pitch's in the Upper gorge tomorrow probably.
